Newbie photo help

[Fishie Nut]

I need some help taking pics of my tank, especially close-ups.

I've got a Olympus 3.3 megapixel digital camera. C-3000 Zoom, with 3X optical zoom and 2.5X dkigital zoom It has a digital focus for closeups, but all I get is a blur. I've tried flash, no flash/lights, no light...
