ok...powerheads....

how are these run? lol:rolleye1: i assume by a power cord but in every picture i see i never see a powercord....

or are they seperate pumps hooked up by plumbing in the tank and run by water?

They are 120 volt. You just don't see them because of the water and the way the pictures are taken. The power cords go out the top of the device in most cases.

Most come with a suction cup mounting bracket and a bracket to hang on the top edge of the tank.

MJ's are ok but their suction cups really suck . You can also try a SEIO which I really like but it is a big powerhead.
