So I finally got my 75 with MH and PC actinics all set up, and everything from my bowfront moved over, and it's been doing great! (THANK YOU REEF CENTRAL for all the info and great help!) I can't believe I have such a gorgeous, perfect looking reef, like i've always seen, and always said "I could never have one like that." (Now watch it crash tomorow just cuz I said that.)
Anyways, picked up my first clam today.
So I get it in the tank... and man do these things love to make a sand storm!!! It kept opening and then closing rappidly, making a huge mess. I was alarmed at first, but after doing some more research, found out this is normal burrowing behavior? Just want to make sure, but it was sorta neat non-the-less to see it in action.
I'll have to take some pics tomorow to post, I'm curious to see what you all think of it, since I bought it as a "grade A" and because I've seen some really nice clams, I don't think this is top notch. It's beautiful... but I doubt Grade A beautiful. Might perk up under my MH too, it was sitting in the LFS for a week under minimal VHO lighting.
