Newbie to clowns Q?

Sorry this is such a newb question. Do clownfish need Nems to thrive? I don't really like Nems ('cept carpets) and they grow so large. Will clowns live in corals or is this a dumb question? Sorry...just trying to learn. No LFS's anywhere within 100 miles of where I live so you guys are it

no you dont need an anemone for a clownfish to thrive they will do just ok without

First off...thank you all for your help. My future 29 will house sps, 'shrooms, some zoo's and now most looked forward to...a couple of these STUNNING clowns.
