Still Waiting for Trim around tank & baseboard trim to be completed. Finally got tv placed into the wall also...looks real nice :)

looks great. i like the rock.
how did you keep all the dust out of the tank while you were working?
was it covered all the time?

That looks fantastic. I did a quick scan of the three pages of your thread, and enjoyed watching it transformed before my eyes.

That stand is killer. Bet you could park a Hummer on it! I was worried the TV would get damaged due to humidity, but not the way you drywalled it.

And when you said In-Wall, I never thought that mean you'd build the very walls around it.

Wish I was closer to see it in person, it really was well done. I still need to do my own trimwork around my tank, and hope to do so in the next couple of weeks.

jthnhale, I had it covered for a little bit, but I still got some drywall dust in there...it didn't affect anything.

deansreef, I post some pics of my closed loop :)

melev, thanks for the encouragement, I got some of my ideas from "Weatherson's" tank. Also, I enjoy your website. Your livestock looks so healthy & full of color...good work. I hope I have results like you...we'll see.

Here is a pic of the TV in the wall next to the tank. I was really happy with the look of it when we placed it in.

Here again, is my water mixing station

This is how I pump the freshly mixed saltwater to my tank. Notice the hose that hooks up to it via a union fitting & it goes to the wall which is where I have a 1" pipe that runs behind the wall.

Here is a view from the mixing room over to behind my tank. I use a flex hose to go to my sump from where the 1" pipe comes out on the other end of the wall. I have a clamp that holds it in place when I need to fill the sump. It works pretty good. However, I need to figure out an easy way to siphon the water out of the tank to be disposed of. I'm doing it the "old school" way of siphoning into a 32 gallon container & then dragging the container over to the fish room to dispose of it.Also, I leave everything running & my water level doesn't drop at all during the water changes.:) The nice thing is that I remove the EXACT amount of water that I replace by using the 32 gallon containers...just need an easier way to dispose of the water.

deansreef, here is another picture of the closed loop. The right side is the intake & the left is the return to the spraybar.

Very very nice set up....Looks good. you have what we all would like to have. keep us posted on the tanks progress.

onecoder, thanks for the kind words...a lot of time went into this .

eriksmacks, the scwd's are great. I have 2 hooked up to my returns & I love the current.

Can I see a close up of the trim? It looks like you had to add a little filler between the moulding and the tank itself?
