Check out this new Oceanflo aka Reefdom unit. Kinda pricey but very nicely built. Very well made swivel bracket so you can aim it and lock it into place. Takes 3 minutes to change a regular MJ over. Absolutely no modifications and no tools needed.

Down side, apparently these guys are over run with orders and it takes about 2 weeks to get one and their communication via email is non existant. They are a little pricey at at $69.99 plus the MJ (unless you already have one) but you really do get what you pay for with this unit. You can also use an already modded MJ because the propeller/magnet assembly comes fully assembled. Just pop it into a gutted MJ and twist the shroud on and your done. Its also quite a bit smaller than the MJmod.

Ahhh finally. Apparently I had a USB port on my tower take a dump.

You can see the turbulance its causing, mostly detritus because water has never pushed that strongly in that direction before. It is pushing against my MJmod 1200 with the dumas prop and it seems to be holding its own if not beating it.

Another design feature I like is MJ has you put an ugly anti vortex plate on top where the reefdom guys just didnt mill holes in the guard on top. Very clean design, well thought out and built with quality.

The Deltec or EuroReef of MJ mods if you will.

Thats the nicest mj mod I have seen but its expensive. you can get a tunze nano stream or seio for that price after you buy the mod and pump

I agree that is an expensive mod kit. How do you like it compared to the mj mod kit? How does it compare in flow? I was thinking of ordering a couple from mj mods.

its true you do get what you pay for, If I had MJ's I would want the oceanflo mod

I have the MJ mod (you can see it in the second pic) and this unit is pushing against it. Flow wise it seems the same to me, I dont see the MJ doing a whole lot more than the MJ.

As far as price, the unit is $65 shipped, I bought my MJ from marine depot for $20 shipped so its 85 to my door. Not cheap but not as much as a nano stream either.

Something else you cant see from the pic is that it is very compact and small. Its easier on the eyes than the MJ. For me its looks and performance.

I saw that the shroud on the new mj mod is a lot shorter and more compact now. I cannot tell from the 2nd pic but is it the old shroud or the new one?
