Newly Hatched Diamond Gobies... What to Feed?

Hello All...

My Diamond Goby babies are hatching at this moment, and I am curious as to whether or not the 2-20 micron DT's 'live' Phytoplankton would be a good food for the first several days?

I cannot tell if they are eating, and I do not want to overfeed. If this Phytoplankton is not a good size, what is the recommended micron sized food for the little ones? I have several choices at my disposal up to 50 micron Brightwell, cyclop-eeze, and baby brine.

Thanks a million!

Keep in mind I know almost nothing about Diamond Gobies so take my advice with a grain of salt.. I don't think Phyto is a viable food for any fish. I would feed Rotifers the same as I feed my Clowns. The 50 micron Cyclopeeze might work. I would think you'll have high losses with anything but live food though. Baby brine is likely too big for them.. (I know Diamond Gobies have big mouths so maybe its not).

rkelman is right, they won't eat the phyto. Diamond Gobies hatch out rather small and will need to be fed rotifers, S-strain would be best. I wouldn't try and keep to raise this batch, but start setting up food cultures so your ready for the next batch. Keep the parents well fed and they'll keep spawning regularly ;) At the top of this forum is a sticky thread on growing microfoods, well worth the read.
