Newly setup 29g waiting for G. smithii

Hey all,

I've finally decided to get a mantis shrimp after all.

Gonodactylus smithii is what i decided to put in this 29g.

Heres a sneak peak at the setup so far!

Very cool set-up. If you have your heart set on a g. smithii you can sign up for email notification if they get any in stock at Blue Zoo Aquatics or watch Divers Den on Live Aquaria.
I was able to get a g. ternatensis at Tropicorium in Michigan- it was not identified when I bought it- so they do not know exactly what they are getting in stock. If you are close might be a good place to check out oscassionally, especially if you are willing to consider another type.

nice lil set up, ive always loved the look of the black sand. only thing i have to say against it is that glass thermometer. mantids seem to love smashing those glass thingybobs and the lead balls probably arent very healthy for a tank.

Yeah i just have it in there atm.

I'll be taking it out before the mantis goes in the tank.
