what does get me mad are acros... there have real names... like "garf bonzai" is called acropora valida, "purple plasma" is acropora kimbeensis, "ultimate blue stag" is called acropora exquisita... like that...

i don't know all those by memory BTW, i had to look them up... lol...

I totally agree with you, but at the same time, there are a million different variants of Acropora valida, one of which is the GARF bonsai. I am a fan of the hybrid nomenclature, like, "Hey, I just got this *****in' purple valida", or "Man, check out this dope orange setosa." It lets you know what animal they are actually talking about, and gives a good idea of what it looks like in practice. Speaking of which, I just got an awesome banana yellow Porites cylindrica.

orly...? i have a weird green porites cylindrica... ali told me it was going to turn blue, but i've had it for a year now and it's still this soft pastel green... i like it the way it is...
