Next Club Meeting

Hey everyone, I talked to NCNbilly briefly, and he would like to have it the last weekend in Feb/March, meaning either the 28th or the 1st around noonish or whatever time suits most people. So, either PM me or NCNbilly with what you think would work best, date and time wise. I think he may do a tank drilling demo, so might be good for some of you to try and come, I know some have been contemplating a tank drill in the future. Let me or Bill know what you guys want to do. Oh, he lives in the Middletown area, just so you all have some idea as far as driving. Hope to see you there.
Matt

Either day will be fine by me. I just hope I don't have a sudden side job like I did for the frag swap. Hope to see everyone at the meet.
Joel

I might be able to make it. As long as it's the weekend, I can be there any time. Be sure to bring ideas as to what everybody might have for sale. I'm still looking to fill my tank.
Kevin

I'll wait a couple more days before setting the day, but I'm leaning towards Sat. the 28th at 1pm at NCNbilly's house(somewhere in Middletown). Hope to see many of you there.
Matt

Hey Matt,
Any chance of having one during a weeknight or a little later on the weekend. Work schedule makes it hard to get there before 4.
Is this a problem for everyone else? I just got word I will probably be stuck on this schedule for at least another 3 months. YUK

Yeah, I'm sure we can do something throughout the week sometime, not sure when at the moment, but I will keep that in mind for future meetings, sorry you won't be able to make the next one, so far only a couple of people have said about attending this one. How are the corals from the swap doing? I hope they are OK, let me know if you are having problems. Have a good one and be safe.
Matt

Is it the date set for Saturday the 28th at 1pm? I would like to attend, but my schedule is always sort of up in the air. With no gainful employment, if someone calls and asks me to pet sit, I can't really afford to turn it down, no matter how sort notice it is. So I'm a yes w/ an *

If I can make it, would anyone be interested in any colt corals? I don't want to kill them but they are like bunnies. I would like to pass them on if someone would like them, I have a bunch from 1" to maybe 10" tall.

Got a pet sitting job. And it starts at noon. I'll hope for next time.

Anybody want the frozen food that I posted about in the other thread? Or the little syringes? LP lives close, I could always pass the stuff off for him to bring (we haven't talked about that yet, but he is a nice man, I'm sure he would bring it, right :) )

Where is NCN? He never posted what an interesting zoa frag would be.

I plan on being there to see everyone and check out Bill's tank.

You can look, but you might need some green filters. It's a good example of how not to run your reef, although it is an example of the healing power of the ocean. My tank crashed in Feb of last year, and due to a faulty NO3 kit (and me for not realizing it) I lost most things that made it through the crash. I estimate my NO3 was around 120-150 back in August when I got tired of getting frags and having them die 'mysteriously'.

My tank, through water changes, carbon dosing, and sulfur reactor is now around 8ppm NO3 and the bad algae is starting to die off. I am now able to keep corals alive, and have seen some SPS actually start to grow.

This has been a long journey, and still isn't quite over. I hope I can use the knowlege I've gained in the last 8 years to help out people with the 'weird' problems. I think I've seen them all. :)

Elysia - interesting zoos are any multi-colors, double skirts, morphs, etc...

Bill,

It certainly sounds like you're on the right track. I think those of us that have been around awhile have all gone through various messes and have rebounded. It certainly isn't fun!;)
