Next fish to choose

I have a 75g with a HOB filter, skimmer and a powerhead pushing 300gph.. I have about 50 or 60 lbs of LR and 45 lbs of LS and crushed coral.. my list of critters includes:

INVERTS
Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp
Peppermint Shrimp
20 Blue leg Hermits
20 Nassarius Snails
Featherduster
Red emerald crab (awkward I know)
Sally Lightfoot Crab
Serpent Seastar
Sandsifting Seastar

CORAL
Frag of neon green zoos (25-30)
New Colony of Mushrooms forming (can't tell which kind yet only about a dime size (5-10))

FISH
Gold Stripe Maroon Clown
Domino Damsel
Watchman Goby (Barely ever see this guy)

I would get rid of the domino damsel and look at adding a pair of some kind of fairy wrasse.

OKay that has came into mind plenty (getting rid of damsel) But how would I go about that without removing all my LR and such.. Any other opinions?

Fish trap or barbless fish hook. If you're really patient, feed in a net. After weeks to months, he'll eat while in the net...then just scoop out.

They sell them online...I think marinedepot and/or Dr Fosters and Smith.

If you like an agressive tank, that's do, but here is what I would choose.

Step one - make sure your water parameters are fine. That includes Temperature, Specific Gravity, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Phosphate, pH, Calcium, Alkalinity, and Magnesium. If you have any detectable Nitrate over 20ppm, avoid adding the first addition and do some water changes.

First Addition
10-20 Red Legged Hermits
20 Nassarius Snails
10-20 Astrea Snails
1-2 Mexican Turbo Snails
10-20 Cerith Snails.
Low ball them. Once in the tank, wait 1-2 weeks.

Second Addition
1-2 Serpent Star or Brittle Star (Not Green Brittle Star)
Wait up to a week

Third Addition
With your tank's Nitrates down to 10-5ppm or preferably less to none
1 Gold Striped Maroon
Wait two weeks for the bioload to catch up and for the sand to start to populate with more fauna

Fourth Addition
With your tank's Nitrates down to 5 or less
1 Cleaner Shrimp
1+ Peppermint Shrimp
Green Emerald Crab (See Below)
Wait a week

Fifth Addition
Yellow Watchman Goby
With sufficient lighting
Zoanthids
Mushrooms
Wait two weeks.

Sixth Addition
You should be able to add a single fish or possibly two small ones and other corals and invertebrates as long as your nitrates are good. Watch for aggressiveness from your Gold Striped Maroon if you choose to add it.

Avoid These
Featherduster - Requires constant feeding of phytoplankton to ensure survivability
Red Mithrax Crab - Often predates on more than just algae. Get a Green Mithrax Crab.
Sally Lightfoot Crab - When they get bigger, they will predate on small fish and invertebrates
Sandsifting Seastar - They need ample space and a well developed sand bed. Even then, sometimes they don't make it long
Gold Stripe Maroon Clown - It might be better to look more into a calmer clownfish
Domino Damsel - Far too aggressive
Watchman Goby (Barely ever see this guy) - Needs to have an established sand bed to sift through unless you are vigilant with feedings.

Not with Cleaner or Peppermint Shrimp. Those fish can make quick work. The Black Cap Basslet doesn't chow on shrimp as much as the others, but it will. They are also one of the more aggressive Basslets. I would look more into a Royal Gramma.

Trav all the critters I mentioned I already have lol. I'm trying to get ideas for another fish. And also the red mithrax is a predator? I didn't know that. I'll have to take him out ASAP. Any clue to how? And I like more of a reef, community, non aggressive!

OOOooohhh..... Oops I thought that was a potential stocking list. The Red Mithrax Crab isn't a predator, but an opportunistic feeder. It's uncommon to see them actually NOT eat anything that we aquarists consider desirable. Some only nip at clams, others nip at Zoas, others eat Coralline Algae, and so on. You might be lucky and find one that will be fine or what it does enjoy eating, you don't mind. I was the final owner of a Red Mithrax Crab that went around our club to three different people. It prefered LPS

Whats a good way to get him out? Funny enough the same day I put him in there my green mithrax crab died. =/ lol. My zoos seem fine, but still any more suggestions guys?
