Next Meeting-Official Thread

Hey Bruce what kind of media is that GARF video on. I was told the usual AV equipment would be available and I might be able to get a player other than a laptop to show a movie if I have enough notice.

There will be a Silent Auction at the next meeting.

Official Details are being worked out and I will update this as soon as I hear back from legal, so far it looks good.

A few more rules

A few more rules

Auction details....

Each Seller is responsible for his/her coral(s) being sold.

On a sheet of lined paper list at the top your corals name.
On line one start your opening bid. Cover the sheet with a blank page.

Bidders who wish to bid on the coral can bid up until the end of the meeting at which time the highest bid will win the merchandise.

Each coral must have it's own bid sheet, and sellers will be responsible for all transactions, and properties placed on their tables.

Sellers are responsible for their own tables and electrical cords as well.

Table Space is limited, you must reserve a space here so I know where to have you set up. First come first serve.

I would like to purchase plants....hope someone brings different species to the meeting! Anyone able to bring starter culture for growing bugs & critters? Thank you!

but we need a noisy auction. They are way more fun lol I can probably borrow us a cash register to make check out easier.

I'll be bringing some Chaetomorpha and live sand which are both full of bugs, worms, and starfish. Ron, I'll need a spot for a small table.

I will bring you some big pieces of my plant, I believe it is the Halimeda Plant, which is what it looks like, but I am not sure. You can have it, it is very hardy and grows fast.

Thanks guys! I am so excited. Last meeting I was real green...not that I am any better but I have gained more knowledge and have less money in the bank. Very addictive hobby!

Yes those were fun and hard to describe for those who did not see them.

We did find an auctioneer and the minimum price for service was $500 plus a few percent usually around 15% to 20%. Phil has talked to several and all refuse because they know nothing about coral. Im afraid those days are gone Mary, but man were they fun.

I have to work the day of the meeting, I promised igotsalt some plants. Will anyone let me leave the plants with them to take to him at the meeting?

The Cinncinatti Aquarium club has an auction that is done by members. I wonder how it works? I wonder if "Members Only" has different rules?

Ohio has different laws concerning agriculture than WV as well, so not sure how it works for them. If it were a fraternal orginization or church you could have auctions here as well.
