Next Meeting?

when attending the meetings do you have to pay to get in the zoo also? if i was just to go to the frag workshop how much would that cost?

Hmmm thats a good idea. He really wants to try saltwater. I gave him a berlin HOB skimmer rated for a 250gal. Currently he isnt drilled so i would like to set him up with hang on equipment untill he dives deeper into this hobby. So he should be good if he runs:

HOB Skimmer,
Fuge,
2 1200 GPH Powerheads,
HOB Filter,
HOB Fuge

? Thanks

No pay for the zoo, that wouldn't be cost effective for a meeting spot :)

Just going to the frag workshop is the same price as being a member and paying for the workshop. Its a good way to get new members to join. Frags+membership dues is the same cost as a non member getting frags.

Its 20 dollars for membership, for members it cost 25 to do the frag workshop for non members its 45. So in a sense you buy your 20 dollar members then pay your 25 for frag workshop and that equals 45. So basically it cost the same to frag as a member or non member, non members become members after they sign up and pay the 45 dollars. Hope that helps.

Hope that clears up the workshop cost, On a side note the 25 fee for the workshop hasn't been set in stone yet for this year. Most likely it will be the same cost as last year but not a set in stone number yet.

as for the FO tank you might want to run a regular filter with media to help with the nitrogen cycle if your not going to do LR. maybe a magnum 350 or something.....

MEETINGS..... I have never been to one. are kids welcome? I have a 5&6 YEAR OLD. are there any other kids usually there? or better to find someeone to watch them? also out of curiosty how .any members are there this year and how many are renews from last year (had an idea so just curious)

Thanks
Sean
