Next Meeting?

DO I JUST HAVE TO SHOW UP AT THE NEXT MEETING TO JOIN? I HAVE TO RUN TO GRAND RAPIDS NOW TO GO WORK ON MY FIANCES HOUSE.HAVE A GREAT DAY
 
I am willing to host. My setup isn't nearly as exciting as Jame's but we do have the sump in the basement for ya'll to see. For those that don't know, I'm in Bemidji. It would be GREAT to have more members. There were 12? at the last meeting? A gal stopped in and bought my 55 yesterday and she wants to join us as well. She hasn't done saltwater before so she's looking for help from step 1.

Maybe we can do a group order before this meeting. I STILL need test kits and CUC! She'll be needing rock. Maybe Swanwillow, Dedex and Goingpostal may need some too?
 
Oh...should mention. Willing to go to Rapids though and host a later one too. Whatever really. Just looking forward to the next meeting so let's book it! I was thinking that having it closer to here might be nice for the gal that bought my tank but whatever works....
 
Blennieluvr, I vote for your place this time around. If I am allowed to do that.

Your system certainly doesn't have to be up and running smoothly. It can be in the works. The benefit to you could be that someone has set something up in a similar fashion and it flopped. They could relay that info to you BEFORE you glue it in place. The benefit to others is that they see yet another way to do things. Everyone who attended the last meeting saw my system and how I do things. This next meeting they could see your system and how you do things. Very beneficial IME!!!

So, would you like to host the next one and if so, when??
 
Garrett, I'll bring your heater back to you at the next meeting, unless you want it before then?!? Also, are you still wanting that Koralia 4?? I can bring it then too.
 
Ya that will work and yes I still want the Koralia 4 I might even be able to get the frags back too I am hoping to have it ready by then. Ammonia is almost 0 and nitrites are comming down to.nitrates are starting to go up.
 
The gal who bought my tank is from Park Rapids. I tried to PM Randy but I got a message saying he has not given permission for PM's or something like that. Can you let him know she may need some help? I'd like to email her his number but told her I'd like to get his permission first.

We could dedicate this meeting to the newbs since we have a few. (Wonder when I won't feel like a Newb?) A question and answer type meeting. We did a lot of that last time too. I'd like a fragging demo too since Garrett and I have some zoo's to split & I'm still scared to start hacking at 'em.

My tank did a mini cycle and I lost my pulsing zenia (how're the ones I brought to last meeting doing? if OK, I may like some back one day) and my hairy mushroom. :( A few water changes seem to have done the trick. Everything is looking happier. I hope so. It was aweful watching those decline!

As for the meeting date...I'm guessing earlier would be better for those wanting to get going on or furthering their setups. How about the 2nd or the 9th? I'm too lazy to reread this thread but the 16th wasn't good right?
 
I vote for the 2nd, can't make it the 9th. But, if everyone else votes the 9th I understand. If I can't make it to this one, I'll shoot for the next one :-)

I told Randy about her and he said that would be cool if she wanted to contact him I will send yo a pm with randys email so if she want to get a hold of him she can.I am pretty much open to any date as well.

There is alot to learn but it is just like anything else once you get the general swing of things it will go alot easier..Kind of like your job when you first started out everything took time to learn the basics and after a while it was old hat. I think that is how reef keeping is you start off not knowing a dang thing and slowly learn more and more. I am sure if you were to ask a person who has been in it for years they would say there is always something new..So I would say you are a newbie for the first year than you get bumped to a veteran!!!!LOL:D :rollface:

i dont really care where it is, i just want to come meet some of you and see how you guys do it. I ordered 22 sps frags yesterday so i will have some softie frags if people want them. I also have lots of other equipement from the learning experience!
 
blennieluvr, your xenia is still doing good in my tank, it's even pulsing! I'm still holding my breath since we killed the last xenia but it was a different kind so maybe this time will be different. I've never fragged any before but I assume it can't be that hard, just cut some off and rubberband? I could bring you some, even a hairy shroom if you want a replacement of that.

MNreefcrazy, I may want some of your stuff especially rics, I have some orange w/ green centers now but I'll pretty much take anything I don't already have.

I may setup my 5.5 gallon for frags if there is a market for them, I have brown and green palys overgrowing everything and can frag some kenya trees, I'm trying to talk James into letting me frag some of his blushing leather and my green polyp toadstool, I also have purple blade gorg frags if anyone's feeling brave. :lol:
 
yes i could give her a hand on setting up the tank .. I will try to figure out how to turn on the p.m. deal

I cant do sat the 2nd but any other will work , any possibilities on a sunday??? Randy
