next pmasi meeting

maybe i should attend i suck at taken pics of the tank. i will be starting a build thread in the next week or so makeing a conopy for the tank and i know ima have to take a millon pics to get them right.

not to go OT on the thread, but i just registered to become a member but it wouldnt let me register for the forums? anybody have an idea why it wont let me?

Its my understanding that the PMASI forums have been put on the back burner for now, since most people use RC or another forum anyway, and it was creating huge problems for the people who are in charge. Our officers aren't paid, and I appreciate what they do do, but I think fixing the forums just wasn't in the cards for them for the time being.

i see i see, no biggie just wondered what was goin on. hopefully i can make it to the next meeting.

The forums got shut down because all they did was create truckloads of registration spam, and nobody posted on them. A failed first attempt, and that's sad, because I doubt we'll ever have our own forums at this point.

The site is still up www.pmasi.org but the next meeting isn't updated yet. It is April 25th, and it is Anthony Calfo. Anthony will be giving his photography demonstration, which is fantastic. Whether you are a photo pro or a loser with a crappy camera (like me), or anyone in between, you will benefit from his instructions.

S !

Cool - we ( son and I ) will be there- have a medium dud camera- the Macro sucks - so cant get good pics of corals. I thought I was going crazy- kept refreshing the page thinking it was my computer or something.

Even if you have a point and shoot (which I do), you can still get quality pictures. There are a lot of tips, tricks, and settings you can tweak to get quality photos without dropping loads of cash on camera equipment.

I picked up quite a few pointers from Marc's talk last November, and am looking forward to hearing Anthony's discussion as well.
