Well, 2 days after the brown jelly devoured my large mushroom rock, It has now began attacking my leathers. Came home today and 5 leathers where pulled up tight and sloughing skin. Two of the large ones a toadstool and a figi yellow had small lesions and holes. They where still solid meat though and not detaching and desintigrating. Pulled all leathers out and did a Lugols dip. The yellow looks theworst of them all with the toad stool foolowing. Both of these are probably 11 years old. The kenya tree and another tree looks like they are perking up.
So far these are the worst cases, I have been doing 10% water changes, running alot of carbonin a reactor and running filter pads.
Water is clear, fish are healthy, clam, lps, and anenomes healthy.
I think we have a good discussion for Sunday.
Oh I will not make any trades from the tank this weekend, I would not wish this on anyone.......

OUCH......

Have you taken a turkey baster to your tank and gotten as much crud as possible into suspension so your skimmer can remove it ?

Yep, actually I have been using a powerhead when I do a WC to blow rocks and push deitrus from the back. I am really not sure what caused this. I hate to assume, but we did have a house sitter over the weekend. This all started Sunday about 1:00 after we got home. Then again it could just be a disease.
This morning it looks as though the Lugols dip maybe did something. The leathers though still pulled up, did not show any worse signs, and actually could have looked alitlle better. We will see this evening when I get home from work what the next Victim is I am sure.

Scott, sorry to hear things arent going well, but hopefully they will start to get better. you havent added anything new or done anything different lately??

Nope, nothing as been added or changed for a long time. After much research it turns out this is not real uncommon, and very little is known about the Brown Jelly..Other then it appears suddenly and usually wipes out what it appears on.

Well, the Figi Yellow Leather went to the RAzor Blade tonight. It was starting to disentegrate and diminish. So I cut away all the bad aras and endedup with 2 stalks. I am sure a few days will tell if these will make it.
My lare toadstool is still hanging on but is not really happy yet. The figi tree seems to becoming back as well as another small toadstool. My colt is the next victim after the leathers, seems to be failing and sliming alittle.
Still doing daily WC's, running carbon and filter pads...
REst of the Tank seems pretty happy....

Well the Large Toadstool went down last night. I got 3 nice frags of good pieces, I will see if they come back....

Clean up crew all did fine...
Yes I did another dip but it was really bad last night so I cut the good parts out. I really think this is the last victim. I just believe it got hit with the snot and was infected from that time.
