Nice Fish!

The Bellus I got was not a wyswyg and does not have the nice Red lines on the fins like the fish in the picture. Is this something that tends to come out as they get bigger? My Bellus is about 2" right now. One of the selling points on this fish is the striking flash of red, imo. Hopefully the red will come out someday???

Also interested in the answer to this question. I have a little female bellus - probably 2 1/2 inches - with just the tiniest hint of red on the dorsal.

At least it is red, the one I got online sight unseen from bluezooaqutics doesn't even have red. It is more like the tiniest hint of brownish. And I think I paid the same or only $10 less than the DD fish linked above. I should have been more patient. That is the key to almost everything in this hobby.

I love my bellus. Have had her for a year and if anything she has lost some red as she has grown. still a great fish with a nice personality

Do you see more red when she flare her dorsal fin? I don't think size is a factor for the red. I've two female Bellus--one slightly under 3" and the other one under 4" (I'd them since March 2008) and I don't see much of the red till I turn on more lights and the red is more apparent when she flare up her dorsal fin.
