Nice looking eggs

This was a difficult image to get. Needed enough light on the eggs but not too much too blow-out all the anemone detail. This was the best compromise I could reach.

This clutch is about a week old and looking good. I would love to try again to raise some of these little guys but do not have the time, ability, equipment, or room. I thought some of the people here might like the picture though.

Thanks for looking,
John

Thanks! My wife thinks I am nuts, combining my two hobbies. I admit it does seem a bit odd standing in front of a fish tank for a half hour with a macro lens and a flash just waiting for the fish to get in the perfect position. When I did field work, it didn't seem strange but, to be in my living room and wait to capture an image... it feels a bit bizarre. Oh well, this is sort of an all consuming hobby. I now have a whole collection of A. ocellaris fish images.

Thanks again,
John

Kellynguyen: I have had this pair of Clowns for ten years. They were the first fish I added to my tank. They breed every few weeks. I have tried twice to raise the fry but was not successful. Producing live food has been the issue. I am a bit time and space limited.

It is unfortunate but the babies hatch and the other fish and corals in the tank feast on them. I keep telling myself to try again to raise a batch. Maybe next summer.

Thanks for the kind words,
John

Here's another that I like:
