Nice acans, Those australian acans don't go cheap. I believe it cost the retail stores alot to import them, i would guess usually 3 to 4 times the typical acans you find in our local shop today. I think if you look at the prices of online shops like alantisaquarium, you kinda get the idea of how much he paid for those colonies.
First off, who said these were australian acanthastrea? Id bet money those came from the indo pacific. Theyve been migrating in different spots lately getting some really nice fluffy pieces, I have one in fact myself. If anything, the bright green and purple one looks like its Japanese, not aussie.
Secondly, why in God's green earth would we compare shop anything to Atlantisaquarium??? Are you mad??? They are definately top 10 of the most overmarked corals on the net.
Guys, gals, dont buy into the acan hype, because that is exactly what it is. If you are diligent, you can find beautifull lords like these at VERY AFFORDABLE prices, take it from me. One of the tightest guys in the club
Take these gorgeous fatty reds of mine for example,
Ready to crap yourself? I paid 9.99 for the whole thing; online! No drunken deals behind closed doors, or anything ambiguous for that matter, and was available to anyone here that saw it. The purple/burgendy colony in front of it? $40, this teal and red in $10 per head, at the time it was $50.
Honestly guys prices dont mean squat to me. As every price seems to miraculously change depending on whos setting it.
