Pretty sweet. Maybe there is something in letting some corals being exposed to air every so often. I have a book that teaches you how to make a tidal tank. Seems a bit involved and I'm not keeping corals but if there is anyone that wants to tackle it, I can get the diagram for you.

wouldnt do that with a bird nest

mine was out of th ewater for 15 mins and was dead after being in the tank
