Got this insane yellow with pink and blue acropora today, it's about 5 inches across. Man Exotic Tropicals get's some killer stuff, you never cease to amaze me Scott!
I also saw 4 other large nice colonies, but this was the best one, I talked him into fragging one of the pastel blue ones up and got a nice piece of that one also.

Yah, I got the call last night. Just cant make it there. LOL! After I got the message, I actually looked at the 90 and said to myself, I can put another one there! Just wrong timing when he called.

lol... ok

That coral will look nothing like that in a few months... provided it survives. I'd stick it way in the bottom and let it regain some zooxanthellea if I were you... good luck :)

You know the colors on that are exceptional which are not reflected in the picture very well.

Maybe you have not seen too many lighter SPS's.

Thanks for the kind words Dave. Are you a member of SCMAS? I have never seen you post here in our forum before?

Anyway it is yellow, the pic does make it look washed out but it's just pretty light. I do agree it may or may not darken up, but with the right conditions may stay very nice looking forever, you never know. Have you seen any Zeo tanks lately? prodibio tanks?
These colors are possible.

Russ I do believe it is a tabling type acro, not a hyacinth but nonetheless more of a table form from what I see so far.

I don't know you and don't know if you have any credibility here, maybe show me a FTS and some of your nicer SPS and that may sway my descision on the placement of this coral.

Chris

I just got back from ETs. Dude, if you picked the best looking one, then that piece has to be awesome! There is some really nice new colonies there. I love that purple A. Humilis thats there!

I was hoping that no one would get that so Scott would frag it up so i could get a frag for the new frag tank. GOOD GOING ON YOU NEW acropora reefkoi

That's funny, I guess he really is ****ed I bought that coral LOL
You know, he could be right that it won't hold that color, isn't that the case with most SPS? I mean how many SPS have you guys bought that stayed the same? some look better, some worse, some die, that's the way it goes. But to jump into our forum and totally poop on me is really just showing his tactless nature.

I am not upset for buying it, hell I feel very lucky to have it and who know's what color it will be, that's SPS for you.

If it does good, I plan to get some frags into some different tanks to see what different methods will do for this coral.

Anyhow....................See you all at the meeting tomorrow.

Chris
