niger and fire shrimp?

Maybe.

If you have a relatively passive, well-fed niger, it can be done, but it's definitely a risk. Unfortunately, the only way to find out with any individual niger is to try it. I've seen it done successfully. Your best chance is if the shrimp is already well established before you put the trigger in. It's also important that you not be feeding your niger shrimp (especially live ghost shrimp).

I had kept my cleaner shrimp with my niger for over a year, until the shrimp died in a heater mishap. The niger is relatively passive and let the shrimp clean him from time to time. The shrimp was added before the trigger though.
