Night mode operation

I have a 7095 controller with photo cell and 2 x 6100 streams in my 170g setup. I use interval 2 at the moment. I have a berlin method (AP851 skimmer, 90KG live rock) and wondered how I can setup the photo cell to operate on the system. What rate do the pumps run at during this period and will the photo cell only work if the room is not affected by natural daylight or does is only activate/de-activate if you select night mode ???? Sorry for all the questions....... have lost my instruction manual for the controller as well......

Edit: also will the night mode affect my circulation that badly considering I dont use any external bio filtration. I do have caulerpa in the sump with a fluidized PO4 reactor running 24/7 though......

Night mode sets the pumps to run at whatever you set the bottom speed knobs to. You can set the bottom knobs to 100% if flow is an issue at night.

So if I use the interval 2 option (stream plugged into input 1 and 3) and then set the relevant speeds of the pumps (i.e between 40 and 100%) during normal operation the pumps will switch on and vary for the period of the pulse (3 seconds in my case) and then reduce to 30% before switching to the 2nd stream and again varying the speed between the 2 speed settings - is that correct ?

When in night mode if I have input 1 set to 40% and input 3 set to 50% on the bottom dials the streams will still alternate between each other and maintain a minimum 30% speed but when they swap over they will only go to 40% or 50% dependant on the stream - is that correct ?

Additional question regarding the photo cell sensitivity still stands, how does it actually work. I mean if the photo period of the main tank means the actinics and halides are on timers and that the dusk simulation switches the MH off at 10pm and the actinics go off at 11pm does the unit enter night mode automatically or do you have to select this manually by selecting the button on the controller? Will it maintain this until I de-select it?

Sorry for all the questions Roger.

Yes.

In night mode the pump on channel 1 will be at the lower knob speed you set and the other will idle at 30%, pulsing and alternating stops.

The light sensitivity varies but basically when your lights are on night mode ends.
