Night Mode? Vortechs

I have 2x Vortech MP10wES. They are on opposing ends of my 48" 55gal tank. I dont really know too much about the modes(have been using the yellow)... I know there is a feed mode, and think someone mentioned a night mode. Does anyone use the "night mode"? Is it necessary? To give the fish a break or something?... I believe a lot of corals extend polyps at night for feeding and would assume that would mean maintaining high flow/turbulence at night.

On another note... I would like to set up a standing wave. I can kind of get them somewhat going but they seem to work against eachother. One of my MP10wES's "W" does not illuminate and I am unable to get them to sync. Has anyone had this problem before? I contacted EcoTech and they said it might be the "RF module"... Not sure what that is...

I've never used any night modes on any of my pumps, good luck getting the problem fixed man. Wish I could be more help.

Thanks, it is all good. I mainly was wondering if it was common practice to calm things down at night. So you answered my question.

Yellow is reef crest which I use and love !!! As far a night mode I use it and like it but I don't really think its necessary unless your fish are not strong swimmers but either way my clowns are fine with or with out night mode .

Thanks Jose! Very helpful video. I really want to get my two pumps into an anti-sync mode if I can get the wireless function working on both.
