Nikon coolpix AW100?

So I was considering buying a camera for better photos and saw a commercial for the AW100. It's 16MP and water proof to 33 feet. I was thinking it could take some nice picture being in the water as opposed to through the glass and through the water.

Any input would be appreciated :D

Thanks, I don't think I'll end up running into a review of someone take coral shots in tank with it though. I may just buy it and see how it goes.

Any update can share? I plan to buy one this week when I am still in US for CES show, but I only found another post (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2115652&highlight=aw100) have some good pictures shared. If I can get second opinion from you that will be great! My most concern its the water proof feature. The picture quality has been proof from the other post, but water proof usually need some time to cook....

I got one for Christmas and have dunked it in the tank a few times now. I haven't had any problems so far, but I know that any problems most likely would come in time.

I am a total noob at photography, no clue what I am doing and have only changed the brightness on any of these pre-photo, but here are a few. The pumps are still on in all of these which I know they shouldn't be.

Totally didn't keep up with this thread! Thanks for the pictures IMO they turned out really good. I'm my birthday is coming up in a bit and shortly after we are going to St. Croix for some snorkeling. I might have to get it. I think this would be one item I would get a warranty with as far as using it in the water.
