Nikon D40 Macro Lense Suggestions?

I have a D40 that came with the Kit lense 18mm-55mm. Although the kit lense is actually good in my eyes, I want to try another lense to see diferences. Can someone suggest a nice lense that will do macro but that will not break my pocket.

I was thinking about the Nikor 50mm lense. Does this lense do macro modes?

The Nikon 60mm Micro-Nikkor lens is nice, although if you're feeling lazy the auto focus wont work on the D40. Only AF-S lenses work on it. The one I'm looking to snag for my d40x is the Nikon 105 Micro-Nikkor lens. It's a little more pricey but it has the vibration reduction thingie on it and its AF-S.
