Nitrate 32 / phosphate .32

I have pretty high nutrients. No algea issues.
What's the best way to slowly attack this?. I'm getting stn from the bottom of a few tort acro's.
I have some Tropic Marine np-bacto balance. As well I can do some gfo.
Really, I'm not too concerned with the nitrate but would like to bring the phosphate down to at least .1.

Tank is mainly sps and about 5 years old. I think Aquavitro fuel has contributed to high nutrients, never had them that high before.

If you just want to drop phosphates then gfo is the way to go...
Got a reactor or way to force water through the gfo? Thats far faster/better than just hanging a bag..

Carbon dosing is what I would really recommend though for your situation and couple that with some gfo for a bit to knock the phosphates down quicker..
Vinegar is all you need there to knock both nutrient levels down..

Don't drop phosphate too fast. Your SPS won't like it. Use small amounts of GFO or start with the flow through the reactor as slow as possible and then ramp it up slowly.

I agree that GFO should help reduce the phosphate level, although it might take quite a while and a lot of media. You could give it a try, but the phosphate level might bounce up rapidly once the GFO is exhausted if the sand and rock start leaching it. Some carbon dosing (like vinegar or vodka) is a reasonable suggestion, give the levels (nitrate and phosphate) you report.

I agree with taking it slowly. Rapid changes seem to cause problems for some tanks.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I started gfo last night and will take a test in a few days. It is via a brs reactor, less amount then suggested and it is barely tumbling.
Nitrate = 32 / Phosphate = .32
