LOL I'm assuming this tanks are realtively new because if they are not all of those 10-20 ppm are kidding themselves.

lol! dont hate! i say mines lower because ive been running a sulfur dentitrator.

ive tried EVERYTHING ... remote deep sand bucket, alcohol, chaeto(doesnt grow for me!) im not a big fan of water changes tho, mostly because im lazy.

tanks goin on 2 years almost.

ya my tank is less then 3 months old, i have .2 ppm with a sailfert test kit.

What brand do you use for your nitrate test? What brand do you think is the most accurate?

Mine always test between 0-5 but those are with crappo kits. I assume they arent right but figured i am relatively close to what they say. I'm curious to know what i'm really at?

p.s.- o Agios, my nitrates have dropped a ton since I got rid of my nitrate "pole". Take that outta your tank and i bet they drop,lol

It has been the same with 3 dif kits/salifert/sera and the cheap ones.

I voted 0-2ppm nitrates. I always have some with my salifert test kit. Plan on getting an API nitrate test kit to double check.

I have 5 tangs and 15fish total in my 75g display, 2x30g breeders and 30g sump. I feed pellets, roggers mix, and nori for the tangs. I try not to overfeed. I also run a filter sock which I have to change every 4 days.

Consistant 5 with Elos. Tank is a year old.

0 with API, 0.2ppm with Salifert.

Yes this tank is 3-4 months old, but also gets lots of husbandry. Not lazy here.

Cheato growth has slowed down, so following O Agios advice and dosing Iron.

Ive had multiple tanks in the past, none has kept Nitrates like this one. First one with Fuge, and Ecosystems Mud.

Coincidence?, dont know well see.
