Make a post for it. But I prefer to buy new sand, you don't have to worry about someone elses problem.

I wouldn't, I do t know if you can. I only heard if doing that to rocks.

But for the price of sand it would only cost you like $60 to get new live sand

i agree! my chaeto never grow and my xenia dies after i switch to a much larger skimmer despite of heavy feeding ...

So in your experience, the lesser water quality with the weaker skimmer allowed your xenia and chaeto to thrive? Then when you put in a better skimmer, your xenia and chaeto started to suffer?
