I just stumbled on a store in keyport, nj. PETS PLUS its small and they don't have a wide selection, but they do have very reasonable prices--almost as cheap as buying online but without the shipping.
You can add Aquarium Warehouse on Rt 4 East towards NYC right before the Hilton Hotel. The whole place was just renovated and its open now. The whole place is 100x better than before. The prices are cheaper than most store I go too.
WWW.TFJPETCENTER.COM Is a on-line store in toms river that lets you pick items up. They just sell dry goods tho, I ordered a few things from them and they let me pick the stuff up to save the shipping, Faith & Tom are really nice people. They also do special orders, I just ordered the Aquafuge PS small with light kit from them.
my best friends dad owns Aquarium Wholesale in fort lee, they relocated to little ferry and i think they changed the name to Marons Internatiol or c2c aquatics
theres a samll pet store in hacketstown on main st. (rt. 46) they have salt fish and corals. you have to go down into the basement all the way back into this little room kinda spooky but every once in awhile they have some nice stuff. its a good store for the staples, salt, filter pads, pumps, powerheads, stuff like that.
The Store in Hackettstown is "Hackettstown Pet & Supplies"
The owner is Jim Bunting. By far one of the best places I have been to in NJ. I have purchased thousands in equipment and fish from him. He has the best prices by far in the area on equipment and fish. He wont sell you sick fish and prefers to quarentine his fish before you take them home. If there is something you are looking for he will order it for you, wether it be fish or equipment.
He is currently working on setting up a nother seperate reef room down stairs.

I stopped by the old Aquarium Authority in Marlton, it is now called "In Living Color".. Not open yet but he has quite an impressive set up. Live stock will be in next week and store will be open by the end of the month. Owner's name is Jay, seems like a nice guy. He hired someone from the Baltimore Aquarium to set up his tanks. Upstairs is Salt and downstairs will be Freshwater and Pond. Very high tech. Hopefully his prices will be reasonable. With the Hidden Reef out of commision for a while, it will be nice to have a nice LFS within 1/2 hour. I'll post back after he opens!
Hi everyone. Just getting back into the hobby after 20 years. Now into reefs. i dropped by Eaglereefs Sat...nice store....good quality as I expected and tanks were set up nice....good quantity of stock as well. Store on the smaller side but worth the visit.
If you decide to go, give a call first and ask for directions. the store sign is still not up yet and you will miss the store.....I called and was told it was next to the QuikStop and still drove around for a few minutes... :rolleye1:
Route 4 Aquarium has reopened under a new owner, Lester. Opened on Dec 1st. They are still working on the Reef room. Store is being totally redone. Check it out.
