Your welcome, email him first, you will not be sorry, it's more of a farm then it is a store so he can put a frag together (on some coral) on the spot, like I said everything I bought from him is open and doing very good.

I stopped by Altis reef today and I have one word to describe the experience. Awesome! I spent nearly two hours in the place and would have stayed longer except I had another appointment. I have never seen a place like it. It isn't a store it is a farm. Setup is awesome and the frags are great. I purchased seven differnt pieces and all have opened up and look great in my tank. I highly recommend it and if you can go there you will not be disappointed. It's located in Hackensack. I can't say enough good things about it. I now know where I'll do ALL of my coral shopping.

Glad to hear it chase,

I don’t recommend to many places due to things going wrong in the past but this place is well worth the trip… I'll never forget the first frag I bought in NJ it only had 3 or 4 polyps and I paid 25 bucks for it at a LFS, It died in 3 days :( So far everything I got from Rob has been growing steady and looking healthy:)
 
Hi guys any good LFS to recommend around the area of Oakridge? or Holland Mountain NJ? Going on a holiday trip up there.

Good would be an hrs drive, looking for sps and zoas frags.
 
Not sure if this was mentioned earlier...My Pet friends in Brigantine is closed. I would like to suggest..New World Pet center in Somers Point, NJ 609-601-7663. They have a great selectionf corals from the basic soft stuff to pretty unique chalices. A wide variety of supplies from dog and cat to a good variety of lizard and snake supplies. Fish...so/so, bbut corals are worth a trip. Call first and see if they are stocked.

A few of those places are long gone.... Animal Kingdom closed 2 years ago and so did Aquarium Discount Pet Center, Oceanarium been gone even longer lol
 
So any recommendations? I live near aquatic visions (east hanover pet), and they dont have much, and most the staff act like its a horrible thing to talk to you. Absolute fish makes me feel violated everytime I buy there, great variety but super expensive.. Anyone have any online recommendations, or local reef farms?
 
This is not a list of recommended stores (lord knows there are stores listed that I won't set foot in) but just a list of stores that carry saltwater fish & corals. The Petco in Somerville is said to be an anomaly of the usual Petcos and that's why that particular store is listed.

I'll have to check Fengs place out. Thought it was closed down last time I drove by. I usually drive through Dunellen on my way to Ocean Gallery II (+1). Brian is like a living Wikipedia on Corals/Fish

I was there a few months ago and it was still open, haven't been since though. I think during weekdays it could be hit or miss because he goes out for service during the day.
 
I dont think Fish Fetish is no longer in biz.I just did a search,came up the wrong telephone# and googled it and its a home. Anyone know about this??Im looking for any good fish stores near Howell/Jackson area(?)
