NLS medicated foods

The more I think about it, food with CP like NLS ich shield and food for other infections like NLS Hex Shield make a lot of sense. Assuming the fish are eating.

Especially if it is a fish one cannot catch. Anyone have success with these products working to their benefit?

They really don't work. They do not kill the parasite and Ich Shield isn't pure CP which is really what is needed to kill parasites.

Medicated foods only work for intestinal parasites and only if the fish actually eat them.
Then there is the issue to get every fish to eat enough to get the correct dosage, something near impossible in a reef tank.

Medicated foods work halfway decent for fish in monocultures. Also, they have their place with freshwater fish which do not drink and therefore have few other options to treat intestinal infections.

Saltwater fish on the other hand have to drink all the time even if they refuse to eat., So medicating the water is an easy and effective way to get the right dosage to everyone.
