Anybody know the solution to the "no com found" error message displayed on a 7096 Multicontroller?

I am trying to install this controller to manage my (2) 6055 pumps.

I have read through the instructions but, turning off the wireless devices on my PC is not solving the problem. I have reinstalled the program 3 times, still to connection:confused:

Had the same issue with my 7096, found this from another Forum and worked GEAT:

I don't know if someone have used the 7096 controller with Win 7 64bit yet, but I tried it on my machine and windows couldn't connect to the controller.
It seems like the driver supplied on the cd (website has same version for download) does not work with Win 7 64bit.

If someone has the same issue, they can fix it by following these steps (the controller must be plugged in):
1) download the USB to UART driver from here (Virtual Com Port Driver) at bottom of webpage:
http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm (get the latest 64bit one)
2) Extract to a folder somewhere on pc
3) Go to device manager and look for the "FTD232" device with a "!"
4) Right-click and select "update driver"
5) choose "browse computer for driver software" and point it to folder created in no.2
6) wait for install
7) another icon with "!" will appear in device manager (I think the name is "com port driver" or something similar)
8) follow steps 4 to 6 again

That should do it. The application should now be able to connect to the controller.

Thank you, your suggestions worked like a charm. I updated the firmware and also noticed the USB controller driver was missing so I fixed that as well. Everything connected right up after taking care of those items. Thanks again for the link.
