No hermits + shrimp in tank... interceptor?

On my next tank, I may consider not keeping any hermits or shrimp. Just snails as a clean up crew (mostly just for show since there's no way they could ever keep the tank clean without my help).

If I don't have any of those, would I be able to freely dose interceptor every so often just in case? And if I ever got red bugs (knock on wood, I have an extensive QT system) I could without a sweat just dose the tank?

I'm sure I'd kill a bunch of pods, but other than that, what else would be a problem?

Just asking for long term planning for my currently cycling tank.

Thanks!

No sweat Kinetic- my tank only has snails, a conch and a serpent star for a clean up crew. Full tank Interceptor dose doesn't bother any of them-

I would still keep up the water change and carbon regimen as originally stated to dilute the interceptor in the tank and prevent any long term exposure risks. But other than that, I can't see a problem.

I just finished up a red bug treatment. I only had 1 cleaner shrimp and two hermits in my entire tank. I removed both hermits to a hospital tank but couldn't for the life of me catch the shrimp. He didn't make it through the third treatment. So all I have in my tank ATM is two hermits and a bunch of snails. I'm going to replace the cleaner shrimp because I find them very interesting to watch in the tank.

With prophylactic Interceptor dips plus a QT tank you won't get red bugs:)

If you think it's likely you might "slip" and add a coral straight to the tank every so often not having other crustaceans in the tank might make life easier......but in that case red bugs would be least of my worries.

Nice avatar by the way:)
