No idea what's going on...

Yeah I'm laying offor on buying anything new for awhile this sucks lol, but thank you all for the help and the link I'll update in a few days

Sumps are great for two reasons: they increase water volume (the more water you have the more stable your system) and two they allow you to hide equipment.
Canister filters are generally frowned upon because they need a lot of cleaning and it's hard to tell what is going on inside them without opening them. Having said that, there are people here who use them with effectiveness. I had one on my first tank.
The biggest thing you can do now is learn. You're asking questions and listening which can only be to your advantage.
As Strickland said, if this was easy everyone would do it.
We all started somewhere, learned and no matter how much we know will always be learning.
Read, ask questions and be patient. Only bad things happen quickly in this hobby!

And down the road you may want to consider better lighting.
For now perhaps your homework needs to be buying some basic test kits and learning how to use them. You. never want to be dependent on someone else to tell you your parameters.

^^ this!

The polyps are not open so you know they are unhappy. But you have no idea WHY they are unhappy. Yes, you can throw money at the problem by installing a sump, canister filter, or perhaps a skimmer but without knowing the problem it's gonna be hit or miss and even if the polyps open you won't know why.

Which brings me back to water changes. Water change can solve most every problem and in a 10g doing a one or two gallon change once a week is a near guaranteed recipe for success.

But if you want to learn WHY the polyps are happy/unhappy- get some test kits and keep a log.

(my personal opinion is that a sump on a 10g is silly, get a bigger tank if you want to increase water volume)

Also I have a test kit and I own a pinch a penny, I'm well aware of water chemistry, which is why I'm saying I have no idea what's going on, I'm not sure if it's the led lighting not being strong enough or too much flow I have some knowledge on the topic I have had a secessful tank before I just can't get this ten gallon to work with me lol and I have no ammonia btw. But I'm going for the 90g I think.
