No lid, any gobies that will work?

I don't have nor want a lid on my 30G Oceanic Cube......

Are there any compatible gobies that won't attempt suicide?

All fish can potentially jump... just keep a top on it, and remove when your doing maintenance, taking pics, or showing it off to company (remove before they enter room ;)).

Tops are literally a life saver, and if you truly care about your fish it's the least we can do.

I'ev kept gobies in my 30g cube for years with no jumping. (lucky I guess) First was a yasha haze goby that I had for several years until a hitch hiker crab mauled the heck out of it. (rip little guy) Now I have a yellow watchman goby.

I'd say if you do go for a cover, use the bird netting style top as most fish can fit through egg crate.

I have a 3+ year old watchman goby. He's been in a 29 Gallon, 90 Gallon, and now a 180 Gallon.

Never Jumped. All of those tanks were/are open top as well.
