Im currently downgrading to an aquapod 24g, with 70w HQI. I'm only going to have 1 fish, a small clown grouper (until he outgrows it), some snails, and all sps corals.

here is my plan.

bare bottom of course, But i do not want to use any live rock in the display.
My plan is to make a PVC creation using various size and length pieces of PVC pipe and fittings, and glueing them together. basically replacing the live rock with a pvc sculpture of sorts. then i am going to paint the whole sculpture with black krylon fusion paint.

Im not planning to run a seperate fuge, my plan for filtration is as follows.
mineral mud in a 100 micron filter sock. in back chamber
live rock rubble. in back chamber
mangrove tree (just cause i have one). in back chamber
bag of chemipure elite. in back chamber

and going to run a red sea prizm skimmer, not a nano.

also, being that this is going to be BB, on top of the return wich will be a MJ 1200, im either going to run a koralia 3 or koralia 4, i have both lying around.

what do you guys think?

I've read numerous times that people who go BB are able to significantly reduce the amount of live rock in their systems. You might want to increase your skimmer production though. Think of it this way: if you have the BB set up correctly, you should be able to transport the vast majority of detritus/nutrients that build up in the tank so there's less of a need for liverock. There's not a sink for the detritus to accumulate so you don't need the rock to process it.
