NO ONE can ID me, anemone?

I posted this on the reef discussion and it was suggested to post this here.


Am I an anemone or a coral? If either, what am I? One person said a frogspawn, but I was suspect?

From its look I think anemone, but it has two forms, a night and day form....crazy! I was finally able to get better pics of it. It does move around. came from Atlantic live rock.

In the first picture, I don't see an anemone. The second pic resembles aipstasia.

Did the anemone/coral move from one photo to the next?
You got me, have no idea but if it is moving around, my first guess would be some kind of anemone even though some corals do move. Just have no clue.

i would have to say aiptasia due to the 2nd photo..ive had alot of those damn pest and it looks very familiar to me.

In the "day" photo day he has moved next to the zoas. He looks like a hammer or frogspawn coral during the day.

Kevin, thanks for the links. That is the closest I have seen, but since I don't have good photos of him posted, he is still different then the guys you sent in the links...maybe bc my guy came from the atlantic vice pacific? I wll read about them more.

After rereading my post here I have deciced it is definately a lawn gnome, be careful they are dangerous and toxic, remove it from your tank immediately.
