No Pe in the day

Some of my Sps have no Pe when the light is on but at night full Pe. What could be the problem? They had Pe in the day like 8 weeks ago. To much light? 150w hqi in a 29 cube or could it be to much flow stock r pump and mp10 almost full power. Thanks for the help

Even my tangs have learned to mouth my corals during the day. Its not unusual for fish to cause the polyps to retract some during the day. The polyps should be apparent and odviously there but not fully expended if its fish agro. They (the fish) eat the slime. If you really have good polyp extension at night then its nothing to worry about.

I had the same problem in my old biocube. I started feeding coral frenzy and that fixed my problem with the no pe during the day.

You may want to turn down your MP10, full blast an a 28g Nano Cube is a bit much. Dial it down to 70% and put it on reef crest mode.

I agree with Dog Boy...I too have a few SPS that only extend polyps at night and keep them tightly packed or peeking out during daylight hours. Most corals feed at night in the wild anyways.
