No power tomorrow! Should I worry

Power company told my wife that we will be without power tomorrow for 2.5-3 hours tomorrow. I have two UPS for the power heads that I hope will last that long. I don't know about heaters or the return pump. The 220gal tank is in the basement and it stays around 65 in the room. Should I be concerned?

If it were me I would try to raise the temp to the higher end of my normal spectrum tonight and tomorrow morning. That way when I was without power my temperature would have a longer time in the safe zone. I would not do this quickly nor would I raise it much out of the normal range of my tanks daily swings. I would also try my best to insulate the tank or just turn up the thermostat on my gas furnace. I think you should be fine for a few hours though.

I don't know what your fish load is like but I think I would almost not plug your power heads into those UPS and plug one AirStone aerator in.

Be safe, have a generator on hand! Electric companies are notoriously screwing up these days.

At work until midnight tonight and electric will be cut at 9 am. I think I might cancel the vacation to Disney this year and buy a whole house generator. This is stressful.

I think if you raise your thermostat and put blankets over the tank, you'll be fine.220 gallons is a lot of water to cool down.if it tales longer than expwcted, you can rent or pick up a generator
I wish utility companies would give the customers more of a notice. maybe not to the hour, but if they could let you know at least a few days ahead, it would be nice .

Made it through with noticeable damage. Had the wave makers going and one breaking the water line. Temp dropped 2.5 degrees in 2 hours.
