No Skimmer /What filter media ?

hello all I have a 24 G nano without a skimmer . I now use chemi pure elite ...Purigen...and Phosguard in my chambers ..
Is this what I should be using to help remove the organic waste since I have no skimmer IF not what is better ?

I use BRS Carbon and GFO. No skimmer on a biocube 29. No Filter floss either. I do a 4 gallon water change every two weeks. Water changes are essential if you don't have a skimmer.

Don't chemi pure elite and Purigen overlap in function?
And doesn't chemi pure elite already contain GFO?

Couldn't you simply run either CPE or Purigen with GFO?

I am running Purigen and GFO in a HOB filter (I am skimmerless like you).

I think your best bet is to get BRS single reactor and run carbon and gfo mix. Over time its cheaper then running purigen and chemipure.

You apparently want to control nitrogen and phosphate. I would decouple the two (with chemipure elite, you may run out of phosphate adsorbant before nitrogen adsorbant). I would run two different media, one to absorb nitrogen compounds, and one to absorb phosphate. That is why I run Purigen and Rowaphos separately in bags in my HOB filter. Purigen absorbs nitrogen compounds without grabbing other micronutrients (unlike carbon, which absorbs more than just nitrogen). The Rowaphos is a granular ferric oxide which absorbs phosphates. If one runs out of capacity before the other, I can just replace the one.
