No sump

I broke down my 60 gallon tank. Had a crash and decided to start fresh.

Moved all fish, rock, etc into another tank. I'm anxious to get my 60 back up and running ASAP. I bought a new sump- but now it does not fit on the platform I built for the old sump.

I'll need to do that this weekend. Is there anyway to get the tank cycle started now (hob filter or powerheads) before I get the sump going or am I wasting my time?

I'm thinking I may go for a bare bottom tank.

One thing you'll learn in this hobby is patience and lots of them are key to success in this hobby. I'm a big advocate of waiting and doing it right the first time. You aren't really going to be saving much time on the cycle, to be honest.

I'm not sure what work you have to do to get the sump going but it might be easier with an empty tank.

Wait, are you just wanting to move everything from your old tank to this new one, and not sure how to bring the sump on line? What is in the tank that is running, what are you wanting to move to the new tank, and what do you expect to do with the new sump, aside from moire water volume and possibly a larger return pump?
