No water changes in a month but great outcome

So I have been battling dinos recently so i decides to do blackouts, no water changes, and dosing microbacter7 to outcompete the dinos...my nitrates have always been very low.. with no water changes in about a month, nitrates are approaching 5. The dinos are gone for now after the blackouts and only a 4 hour t5 2 bulb light schedule..

Anyway, i can not believe how awesome my zoanthids look... the dinos before were choking them so i know that had something to do with it..

Anyway just thought id share.

I may want nitrates at 5 minimum going forward

Many are having great results with nitrate levels in the 2-5ppm range and phosphate levels in the .03-.1 range..

"zero" nutrient levels doesn't work well for many.. Nothing good really "thrives"

No different than ones "lawn".. Don't fertilized at all and the only thing that does well is the weeds.. Too much fertilizer and you burn/brown it out.. Just the right amount and you get a lush green weed free lawn..
