noise from 6000

i have a 6000 stream that cycles every 6 seconds on the low setting i dont hear the pump running but when it cycles up to 80% it makes a humming sound is this normal. The flow does change. thanks.

Is the pump fairly new? They do make some noise but much beyond a foot away it should not be audible.
