Noise Trouble With Hydro Koralia

I HAVE 2 KORALIA'S ON A WAVERMAKER SWITCHING EVERY 4 SECONDS AND THEY SNAP WHEN THEY COME ON. THE PROPELLER MOVES IN AND OUT QUICKLY AND THEN RUNS FINE. ANYBODY ELSE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THIS?

Hydor recommends not using them on wavemaker for this reason...if you do, make sure the sycle is a long cycle of at least a few minutes. This is a common problem on all AC mag driven pumps; half the time they'll start backwards and clank when beginning until they return to the correct way. Hydor is trying to resolve this with a new wavemaker that continues to spin, but at very low speed so when it goes back up, it doesn't have to restart...they have yet to do so, though. Smae reason on the maxijet mod units, they put in an acrylic stopper in case it begins to spin the wrong way.

You can use the seio controller. Go to the equipment forum and there are several people using it, I love the 2 4s I have. Great flow for low price

I was just looking at the Hydor's to replace my Seio's to run on my wavemaker....I guess I'll scratch that idea for now.

Can the small tunze nano streams be on a wave maker? I know they are not controllable with the tunze controller.
