Noisy 6105's?

I njust received a pair of 6105's. They are very nice and a huge improvment over the old 6101/6100. The only problem I have is they seem to be a little noisy. It a humming noise. Does the noise past as they brake in?

It may if it is minor. There is some wear in that must occur. Louder noises seem to be caused by the magnet holders on thinner glass, less than 1/2". In this case placing a rubber/ neoprene or even just a floss or algae scrubber pad under the magnet tends to solve it. I have also seen magnet holders that had a small defect where a lump in the resin touched the glass.

Thanks, the noise is minor, but notable. I have placed some neoprene between the magnets. The noise seems to become for the pump itself. Hopeful it just needs time to brake in.
