noisy wavebox

The wavebox makes noise every couple of pulses. It goes bzz, bzz,bzz ,bzz, bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, bzzz. Much louder every so often.

Is this a problem to look into? Does it need cleaning or somthing?

Thanks :)

Is it an older one? The brake shoes may be jammed out a bit with some sediment/ calcium deposits on an older one.

Look at the first thread in this forum on cleaning the pumps. If the drive unit looks like the first one described it is an older style drive unit. If it is the new one piece drive unit it is the new version.

I noticed my pump does not have the bottom part? It never did. Unless its stuck inside and I cant get it out... Why does it hang over when held?

A brake shoe is missing and the bearing shell is damaged. I would get a new 6200.70 drive unit instead. If the upper bearing is missing it will come with the 6200.70 but it may be stuck at the bottom of the pump and just needs to be removed for cleaning.

This is covered by warranty? Its only a year and a half max. It did not come with the bottom part. I would expect it is with Tunze's great service :)

Thanks I worked it out with Jl aqautics(where i bought it from). They are sending me a new one, but I have to pay shipping... Wich sux because its at my expense. Ship me one from jl, and I ship the old one to Quebec.
