Nominations

I've only received 2, one today, one when the email went out. It would help if you would put a relevant subject line like "nominations" in the subject line.
The way I understand our constitution we are supposed to have elections this month and new officers take over next month. It seems like a good idea to accomplish the nomination process by the 10th so I can email the nominees to confirm they are willing to serve, then post a list of nominees and have everyone vote by the 16th, then we can announce the new officers at Dave's meeting. Correct me if I'm wrong, maybe we announce it in July...?

Mel, don't get in too much of a hurry...
So PM isn't that bad of an idea. At least my spam blocker wont get it. That has me concerned because I only have 4 nominations received: smartwrasse, awcurl, spiffman, and evilmel. If you have sent your nominations and I didnt list you, pls PM them to me. We have 30 members listed in our members section on ETRC. We would like to have everyone nominate and vote so send 'em in.

We're missing about 25 people's nominations. I hope we will get all 25 but 50% would be reasonable. If you feel you don't know the other members enough to nominate someone you are not alone ~ sounds reasonable, but you are just nominating at this point. Nominate anyone you want. How about someone you've talked to and know they are glad they found the club, or yourself! You don't have to nominate all 4 positions although it would be good if you did. Don't be afraid to add new blood ~ this ain't rocket science ~ we just want people who are interested in keeping the club strong. They don't even need to know much about SW, that's what the membership is here for.
I will send each nominee an email asking if they will accept the position(s) they are nominated for. If they do, GREAT, if they don't, it's fine because it's not something everyone wants to do. This is an important thing for our club and we want everyone involved so the majority's choice runs the club for the next year.
