I currently have 2 false perc's, a blue tip anemone, coral beauty, green wrasse, a cleaner shrimp, 2 peppermint shrimp, a a bit of corals of different varieties. I am looking for a non jumping bottom dweller. I got a diamond but it jumped, a midas blenny that jumped. Any ideas?

i'm afraid an angler would eat most everything in the tank...maybe not the angel, but even that isn't 100% safe.

how big is the tank?

Sorry. I should not have suggested that. I was just kind of wracking my brain for something with a roughly 0% chance of jumping. Anglers don't strike me as big leapers. Again, sorry 'bout that.

Tagging along....

My current stock list is nearly indentical, and I want to get a bottom dweller. I am leaning towards a yellow watchman.

you can make a cover with a clear mesh that will sit flush with the top of your tank. i made three of them for my 125 and it cost under 40 bucks to make. i grow sps on my sand so i know it doesn't hurt my light par.

I would suggest a Flame Hawkfish. Neocirrhites armatus. I have one in a 55 gallon. Very cool fish , just hops around on the rocks looking for food. Do a little research on it and find out if it's the one for you. Good luck. Mike.

Flame Hawks are definite jumpers as I have lost one from jumping. Also, although I agree that they can generally be thought of as bottom dwellers, it has been my experience that they spend a surprising amount of time purching on rocks or powerheads high in the tank.

In my experience any fish will/can jump if the mood arises. My male A. ocellaris did once (I was there so no harm!). The wrasses have a propensity to. Most gobies are known jumpers. I would just pick a bottom dweller you like and make a screen net. That way you don't have to worry about your other fish.

Okay, I will try to be helpful.

How about a yellow watchman? Mine seems to be happy only at the bottom. He will however hide for days sometimes under the sand.

If you have enough pods, or can find one that eats mysis, a dragonface pipe drapes itself all over stuff, so it's kinda like a bottom dweller.
