i love zoanthidae. Tough to find nice yellow ones.

So i found yellow zoas baseball size colony ones at lfs, i bought them and within 2 weeks 75 percent die. I got a bunch hangin on and its been months but they seem pale like they are missing something. Im gonna squirt them with cyclops mysis next feeding to see if they eat

Has anyone heard of non-photosynthetic zoanthids or palythoas? or am i just bitter my colony is struggling:uzi::facepalm:

Sphenopus marsupialis (known as dogs balls by fisherman who collect them in trawl nets). When contracted they are rock hard and feel identical to pumice stone :crazy1: I have 2 and they are quite large, the oral disk being 3ish cm when open.

I am sure there are others but these are the two I currently have.

thanks willietang21, my tank runs between 25 - 26 deg Celsius so very slightly lower than when I was keeping SPS.

I am very lucky to live close to an international exporter and know him quite well so I generally put in a list and the collect as required :D

whooooaa those are some seriously awesome corals. I was refering to zoa and paly polyps. like the little button polyps that come in all kinds of colors and color variations
